Current Positions

 

Event Coordinator

Salary $42,500 per year.  This position is responsible for the successful coordination of assigned events within the facility.  Working directly with WSCTC clients and their contractors, the Event Coordinator communicates the needs of the client to other departments and ensures compliance with the event contract.  Requires BA/BS degree and two years experience within the hospitality/convention meetings industry.  Prefer at least one year experience coordinating complex events.

Sales Manager

Salary $55,023.  This position is responsible for the promotion and selling of the WSCTC for regional and local event bookings.  Requires BA/BS degree and 5 years direct experience in the sales of conventions, trade shows, meetings or special events.  Minimum of 3 years experience in a manager or supervisor position.  Minimum of 2 years experience drafting contracts.

The following positions require union membership. Union membership is not required to apply for any of the positions, but will be required within 30 days of employment. There is a probationary period during which the hourly wage is 85% of the regular hourly wage. On-Call positions do not work a regular schedule; hours will vary from 0-40 hours per week.

 

Admissions Attendant On-Call

Hourly Wage $11.61.  This position assists the Event Services Department in successfully fulfilling the needs of our guests, related to accessing the event space, for each event.  Typical assignments may include, but are not limited to: greeting guests, providing directions, taking tickets, checking credentials/badges, and providing general information about WSCTC and Seattle.  This position requires a high school diploma or GED; and experience in a service or hospitality environment.

Facilities Maintenance Person (FMP) On-Call

Hourly Wage $14.07.  The FMP will supplement the full-time set-up and/or custodial staff, performing the required manual tasks related to event room sets, event maintenance, and/or custodial maintenance of the interior and exterior building areas to include sidewalks and walls.  This position requires a high school diploma or GED; and a minimum of 6 months experience in custodial and/or event set-up activities.

Transportation Attendant On-Call

Hourly Wage $12.41. This position is responsible for checking credentials of exhibitors entering the facility via loading areas, monitor/control traffic flow and the usage of passenger loading zones, respond to inquiries about daily move-in/move-out activities within and around the Convention Center. Requires a high school diploma or GED; and experience in a service or hospitality environment. Experience in assisting with traffic flow, including cueing vehicles, preferred.
